# What is block.space?

The Bitcoin Blockspace Meter: blockspace attributed to tokens, token by token, byte by byte.

URL: https://blockspace.wiki/answers/what-is-block-space/

block.space calls itself "The Bitcoin Blockspace Meter": how much of Bitcoin's [blockspace](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/blockspace/) is attributed to tokens, token by token, byte by byte. It shows the numbers [BTI](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/bti/) produces, read live from [the three books](/concepts/the-three-books/) and bounded by the height they are written to. Where something is not measured, it says so instead of showing a zero.
