# Bitcoin Stamp

URL: https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/bitcoin-stamp/

A [Counterparty](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/counterparty/) asset whose description carries a file, written into output-side carriers: [bare multisig](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/bare-multisig/) at first, [OLGA](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/olga/) P2WSH chunks since block 833,000. In BTI's token table, stamp assets are a subset of XCP assets: the asset is the token and the stamp number is a [label](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/label/) on it. Stamp #0, at block 779,652, is an asset issuance whose description holds an 85-byte PNG as base64. A `STAMP:` payload sent through Counterparty's taproot envelope is picked up by stamps indexers as a cursed (negative-numbered) stamp.
