# LP token

The token a Counterparty [liquidity pool](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/liquidity-pool/) gives its depositors. Burning LP tokens takes both assets back pro rata. LP tokens sent to the unspendable address lock the liquidity, and counters.fun shows that lock as the share of LP supply at the burn address.
