# OLGA

"Octet Linked Graphics & Artifacts": the Stamps encoding, in use since block 833,000, that chunks file data 32 bytes at a time into the witness-program field of consecutive P2WSH outputs. The "hashes" are raw data, so the outputs can never be spent and stay in the UTXO set. The data sits in output scripts, not in witness data, so no witness discount applies; the data-types reference puts the cost at about 1.34 raw bytes per data byte. The outputs look like real P2WSH, so BTI can only find them through protocol context.

In the July 2026 measurement run, OLGA made Stamps' cost per content byte 1.84 times cheaper than [bare multisig](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/bare-multisig/), and the mean file grew from 366 B to 3,421 B.
