# pre-signed transaction

URL: https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/pre-signed-transaction/

In the planned blockspace.loans design, one of the two ways out of a loan, signed before anything moves. The release returns the asset to the borrower and is valid only if it also pays the lender the agreed repayment; the lender signs it at the start. The claim moves the asset to the lender and cannot confirm before the deadline (a [timelock](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/timelock/)); the borrower signs it at the start. Planned as of 2026-10-21: nothing is an offer of credit.
