# the frontier

URL: https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/the-frontier/

How far BTI has got, as three heights, one cursor per layer: `census` (T1), `claims` (T2) and `books` (T3), always books ≤ claims ≤ census. The site's attribution frontier is the `claims` cursor, the height every protocol adapter has been searched up to. Every published figure is bounded by the books height; a block counted but not yet written to the books says so rather than showing zeros.
