# the one envelope

The one JSON shape every block.space ranking API answers with: `as_of` (the appendix, books and ranking heights), `book`, `denom`, `family`, `sub`, `population`, `total`, `limit`, `offset`, `source` and `rows`, with anything particular to one board under `extra`. It has been the boards' shape since 2026-10-19, so a reader learns one shape for all of them.

It is not the inscription [envelope](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/envelope/), the data carrier inside a taproot witness.
