# transaction

The unit a block holds: a version, a list of inputs (the outputs it spends), a list of outputs (new amounts and their locking scripts), a lock time and, in a segwit transaction, a [witness](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/witness/) stack per input. The txid hashes the transaction without its witness; the wtxid hashes all of it.
