## What it is

blockspace.wiki is this site: "everything about Bitcoin blockspace, written
down". In Blockspace Holdings' words (2026-10-20), it is "a place to write
all information and documentation about [blockspace](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/blockspace/)". It has a page for
each project with its own glossary and FAQ, the concepts (Blockspace Value
Theory, [BTI](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/bti/), the three books and more), the protocols, the basics, how
it's measured, the data and APIs, answers, research and a timeline. It is
the knowledge hub of [Blockspace Holdings](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/blockspace-holdings/), where every project's entries
are gathered under one shared glossary.

## Status

Live at https://blockspace.wiki since 2026-10-20 (as of 2026-10-20), with
its layout, search and machine surfaces. The project pages and their
glossaries are being added.

## How it works

Every page names its sources from one bibliography. One builder renders
the pages, the glossary, the search index and the [machine surfaces](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/machine-surfaces/)
from the same content. The build fails on a page without sources, a dead
internal link, an undefined glossary term or a figure it cannot find.
Every hour the live figures are read again from Blockspace Holdings' own
Bitcoin node and indexers (block.space, ord, the Bitcoin node and the
Degent collection list) and the site is rebuilt; a source that fails keeps
its last reading and its "as of". Every project page links its site, and
every concept links its related terms: the [spiderweb](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/spiderweb/).

## Glossary

- **blockspace**: The space in Bitcoin's blocks: the bytes of every transaction a block holds, which is limited by the block weight limit and paid for in fees.
- **Blockspace Holdings**: The holding company behind block.space and every project listed on block.space/projects; its own page is blockspace.holdings. The owner named it "Blockspace Holdings" on 2026-10-20.
- **Blockspace Holdings' node and indexers**: The Bitcoin full node, the ord server and the BTI indexer that Blockspace Holdings runs itself. block.space, blockspace.to and this wiki read their figures from them, and each figure carries the block height and time it was read.
- **BTI**: The Blockspace Token Indexer, the instrument that produces every number the block.space meter displays. It counts the bytes, catalogues the operations, and writes the books.
- **machine surfaces**: The files a site publishes for agents and crawlers, built from the same source as its pages: sitemap.xml, robots.txt, llms.txt and llms-full.txt, JSON-LD, an Atom feed and /.well-known/blockspace.json. blockspace.wiki is the pilot site for them.
- **spiderweb**: The web of links across the Blockspace Holdings properties, "a searchable and findable by agents spiderweb" in the owner's words: every property links the others, and each knowledge entry links its related entries elsewhere. On blockspace.wiki, every project page links its site and every concept its related terms.

## FAQ

### What is blockspace.wiki?

This site. In Blockspace Holdings' words, "a place to write all information and documentation about [blockspace](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/blockspace/)": a page per project with its glossary and FAQ, the concepts, the protocols, and the data.

### Where do its facts come from?

Only from Blockspace Holdings' own documents and the live data of [its own Bitcoin node and indexers](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/blockspace-holdings-node-and-indexers/). Every page lists its sources, a claim with no source is not written, and every live figure carries its "as of".

### Is the theory presented as fact?

No. Blockspace Value Theory is a living document and an untested thesis; BTP and BYTES are drafts describing things that do not exist. Theory pages say so.

### Can agents read it?

Yes. It publishes [machine surfaces](https://blockspace.wiki/glossary/machine-surfaces/): a sitemap, robots.txt that welcomes crawlers, llms.txt and llms-full.txt (the whole wiki as Markdown), JSON-LD, an Atom feed and /.well-known/blockspace.json.
