Why do the heaviest sats carry so many inscriptions?

A sat's Book A weight includes every inscription, reinscription and transfer bought in its name.

A sat's weight is Book A: every byte of every transaction bought in its name, including its inscriptions, its reinscriptions and the transfers that moved them. A sat inscribed many times adds them all up. On 2026-10-21 the heaviest, sat 1,858,630,000,000,000, held 29 inscriptions and 9.59 MB, while a single large inscription reached 3.99 MB.
