blockspace.wiki Start with the basics

Why is a token's Book C smaller than its Book A?

Book A holds whole transactions, Book B the token's regions, Book C only the file's bytes; C ≤ B ≤ A on every entry.

Book A counts the whole transactions bought for a token, shared where shared. Book B keeps only the regions its operations wrote, read or moved through. Book C keeps the artifact bytes alone, with all framing removed. So C ≤ B ≤ A on every entry. A protocol with no artifact body measures zero in Book C.
